As Director of the Deeper Learning Institute (DLI), I'm proud to lead a teacher preparation program unlike any other. Here in the heart of Harlem, our graduate students don't just study teaching—they live it by working full time at Harlem Village Academies and bringing their learning directly into the classroom every single day.

What we've built at DLI is an ambitious educational model grounded in something I believe deeply: that great teaching ignites curiosity, demands rigorous thinking, and develops ethical leaders—in students and teachers alike. Our graduates learn to spark intellectual curiosity, foster authentic engagement, and facilitate the kind of cognitively demanding instruction that transforms classrooms.
